IT Staffing Sales Executive – Life Sciences

About the Role

We’re looking for a driven, relationship‑oriented IT Staffing Sales Executive to expand our footprint within the life sciences sector, including pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, and healthcare research organizations. This role blends strategic account development with hands‑on client engagement, helping life sciences companies secure the specialized IT talent they need to accelerate innovation, maintain compliance, and bring life‑changing products to market.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Development

  • Identify, pursue, and close new IT staffing opportunities within pharma, biotech, medical device, and related life sciences organizations.
  • Build a strong pipeline through outbound outreach, networking, conferences, and industry events.
  • Position our staffing solutions to address client needs in areas like project management, data engineering, cybersecurity, R&D IT, automation, and digital transformation.

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, procurement teams, and technical leaders.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand project goals, regulatory constraints, and talent gaps.
  • Maintain ongoing communication to ensure satisfaction, retention, and account growth.

Account Strategy & Growth

  • Develop account plans for key clients, identifying expansion opportunities across business units and technology domains.
  • Collaborate with recruiting teams to ensure timely delivery of qualified candidates.
  • Track performance metrics, forecast revenue, and contribute to quarterly business planning.

Market & Industry Insight

  • Stay current on life sciences trends, including FDA regulations, digital health, AI/ML in drug discovery, and data governance.
  • Understand the competitive landscape and articulate our value proposition clearly and confidently.
  • Provide clients with market intelligence on talent availability, compensation trends, and hiring best practices.
Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven success in IT staffing sales, business development, or account management.
  • Experience selling into life sciences organizations (pharma, biotech, medical device, or healthcare IT).
  • Strong understanding of IT roles such as software engineering, data science, cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and systems supporting clinical or R&D environments.
  • Ability to build rapport with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self‑motivated, organized, and comfortable managing a full sales cycle.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing relationships within life sciences hiring or procurement teams.
