CodeGreen is seeking a Proposal Writer to join our Business Development team. As a Proposal Writer, you will work alongside our sales and technical teams to bring client-focused proposals to life, translating complex compliance, environmental, and engineering services into clear, compelling content. You'll support some of our most strategic sales opportunities and play a hands-on role in CodeGreen's continued growth.
A Day in the life of Proposal Writer
  • Draft and assemble client-specific sales proposals, scopes of work, and capability statements based on direction from sales and account management teams
  • Collaborate with environmental, compliance, and engineering subject matter experts to translate technical input into persuasive, client-ready content
  • Customize proposal messaging to reflect client needs, business challenges, and the specific services being offered
  • Edit and format proposals for clarity, consistency, and professionalism across all deliverables
  • Support proposal timelines and internal review processes, incorporating feedback from sales leaders, senior staff, and technical reviewers
  • Maintain and update a lib6rary of proposal templates, service descriptions, staff resumes, project summaries, and boilerplate content for reuse
  • Assist in managing RFI and RFP materials for larger or multi-service opportunities
  • Help document differentiators, case studies, and capabilities to strengthen future proposals
  • Build working knowledge of CodeGreen's service lines, target industries, and relevant regulatory and technical terminology

What you bring to the CodeGreen team
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in proposal writing, sales support, marketing, or technical writing; internship experience considered
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with high attention to detail
  • Comfort working with multiple stakeholders and managing evolving requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Interest in professional services, consulting, or technical/regulatory environments strongly preferred
  • Strong preference for experience with Deltek Vantagepoint and InDesign
