Job description

We are seeking a driven Project Manager to oversee the development and construction of renewable energy projects, primarily focusing on solar projects. This role will be responsible for managing projects from initial development, including permitting and feasibility studies, through to the construction and commissioning phases. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing renewable energy projects, possess excellent communication and leadership skills, and have a solid understanding of project finance, regulatory compliance, and environmental requirements.

  • Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets, ensuring projects stay within financial parameters.
  • Work closely with finance teams to track project costs, assess financial viability, and secure necessary funding or capital.
  • Ensure all local, state, and federal regulations are adhered to, including environmental, zoning, and land use permits.
  • Coordinate the preparation of necessary documentation and submissions for permitting agencies.
  • Oversee the transition from development to construction, including managing contractor bids, vendor selection, and contract negotiations.
  • Monitor project progress during construction, ensuring all milestones are met on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Coordinate with site managers and contractors to ensure compliance with project specifications, health and safety regulations, and quality control measures.
  • Identify, assess, and manage potential risks during all project phases, implementing solutions as necessary to avoid delays or cost overruns.
  • Act as the central point of contact for all project stakeholders, including senior management, investors, contractors, and community groups.
  • Provide regular updates on project status, including progress reports, budget updates, and risk assessments.
  • Lead the final commissioning of renewable energy projects, ensuring smooth handover to operations teams once construction is complete.
  • Oversee project closeout, including final reports, as-built documentation, and lessons learned.
  • Office 50% and travel 50% to jobsites

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Project Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or PMP certification is preferred.
  • 10 + years experience in PV Construction & Management, either in EPC and/or Owner perspectives.
  • Team player, high level of organization, time management, and autonomy.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and business relationships.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
  • Domain of MS Office, good knowledge of MS Project and CAD.
  • Available to travel and stay in project sites in various locations when required.
