Program Manager
Contingent Upon Customer Approval/Hybrid capabilities available
Purpose:
  • Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a full-time Program Manager to oversee the requirements of the Statement of Work (SOW), in Wallops Island, VA.

Job Description:
  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring progress and for intervention and problem solving.
  • Integrates all functions and activities necessary to perform the project/program to meet customer requirements.
  • Directs personnel, manages cost, schedules, ensures contract compliance and serves as customer interface.
  • Monitors project to ensure scope of work, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained.
  • Variables in determining contract complexity include technology used, schedule requirements, cost, contract complexity, risk, number and complexity of subcontractors, and customer complexity.

Qualifications:
  • Must have a Master's degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, business, or technical discipline and at least 5 years of experience managing a large technical effort, similar in size and scope of this effort.
  • Must have at least 5 years of demonstrated experience in managing large projects including ability to plan, develop schedules, organize, and coordinate team members to accomplish assigned tasks; demonstrated experience specifically directed to combat systems facilities related to Aegis, Aegis BMD, or SSDS weapon and combat systems and technology development, work breakdown structures, spending plans, and financial tracking.

Security Requirements:
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Prefer an Active DoD Secret security clearance.

Travel Requirements:
  • Occasional travel up to 25%.
  • If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
