FalconTek is hiring a Public Affairs Specialist to support the communications function of a major Navy ship maintenance command at Naval Station Norfolk. You'll help tell the story of the largest naval base in the world — developing publications, managing media products, and supporting the command's public-facing communications on a long-term, mission-critical Navy program. What You'll Do - Research, write, and edit publications, releases, and command communications to AP Stylebook and U.S. Navy Style Guide standards
- Produce professional photography, video, and audio content supporting command public affairs products
- Develop and edit content using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition, Premiere)
- Support podcast production and other multimedia public affairs deliverables
- Coordinate public affairs products with command leadership and apply working knowledge of the shipbuilding/ship-repair industry What You Bring - Bachelor's degree in communications, political science, or English
- 2+ years developing, writing, and editing publications in a professional or military public affairs setting
- Working knowledge of AP Stylebook and U.S. Navy Style Guide
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition, Premiere)
- Professional photography, video, and audio production experience
