Microbiology - Medical Lab Scientist Lead

Full-Time / Competitive Pay / Sign-On Bonus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the blood bank, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and quality assurance protocols.
  • Supervise and mentor staff to maintain a high level of expertise and professionalism.
  • Perform advanced testing and analysis of blood samples, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Manage inventory of blood products and supplies, ensuring availability for patient care needs.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and training programs for the blood bank.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and hospital leadership to support patient care initiatives.
  • Maintain documentation and reports in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
  • ASCP (MLS) or equivalent certification is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on blood banking experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Expertise in blood banking procedures and standards.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • BLS certification (must be completed prior to start).
