Part-Time Temporary Science Lab Assistant

Salary Information - $16.20 per hour.

Job Summary - Assist Science Lab Coordinator in the preparation and cleanup of laboratory activities and classrooms to facilitate student learning.

Essential Functions - Prepare and organize materials and equipment needed for science laboratory/classroom activities. Clean up after completion of activities, including proper disposal of chemicals and other materials. Assist with inventory and submit requests when items are running low. Unpack deliveries when they arrive.

Required Qualifications - High School diploma or equivalent. Ability to plan, organize, and manage time. Strong communication skills. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals coming from varied backgrounds.

Desired Qualifications - Associate's degree or current enrollment in a science related program. Science laboratory experience. Knowledge of principles of sanitization, health hazards, and the necessary precautionary measures.

Work Schedule - Up to 20 hours per week, daytime hours. Up to 1,250 hours per year.
