Job description

Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Multi-Media Specialist to join our team in the greater DMV area, supporting the Army National Guard.
Responsibilities
  • Design, produce, and maintain multimedia training products: instructional videos, interactive media, graphics, and digital learning assets aligned with Army training doctrine and approved curricula.
  • Translate technical and functional requirements into clear, engaging visual content supporting software releases, capability enhancements, and sustainment training.
  • Collaborate with trainers, SMEs, and system owners to validate multimedia accuracy, relevance, and instructional alignment.
  • Integrate multimedia assets into instructor-led, virtual, and distributed training platforms, including VTC and enterprise collaboration environments.
  • Maintain training content libraries with version control, metadata, accessibility, and authorized distribution.
  • Apply industry-standard production and authoring tools and instructional design practices to enhance learner engagement and effectiveness.
  • Perform pre-deployment testing, resolve playback or access issues, and support content publishing workflows.
  • Generate production documentation, assets packaging (SCORM/xAPI), and support LMS integration and reporting.

Qualifications
  • 2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with no degree
  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Candidate must meet ONE of the following:
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Education, Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field; OR
    • Relevant DoD/military training (examples: Army CFD-DC; Air Force Technical Writer/ISD Course; DOD DCITA Curriculum Developer Course); OR
    • Relevant professional certification or equivalent experience (examples: CompTIA CTT+; EC-Council CEI; Microsoft MCT; Cisco CCSI; ISC2 instructor status).
  • Required experience and skills:
    • Multimedia production, instructional media, or training content development experience supporting enterprise or DoD training programs.
    • Proficiency with multimedia authoring/editing tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Camtasia, Articulate, or equivalent) and SCORM/xAPI packaging.
    • Experience integrating content into LMS/VTC platforms, managing content versioning, and ensuring accessibility/compliance.
    • Strong collaboration skills to work with SMEs and instructional teams and ability to produce publishable, audit-quality training assets.
    • Ability to troubleshoot media playback, encoding, and integration issues and support rapid content updates for deployments.
  • Desired:
    • Prior DoD/ARNG multimedia or training center support experience.
    • Familiarity with captioning/accessibility standards, mobile learning formats, and learning analytics for measuring content effectiveness.

Target Salary Range
$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
