Overview
The Senior Data Scientist leads the design, development, and implementation of data-driven solutions that support strategic decision-making and mission objectives. This role works closely with stakeholders, engineers, and analysts to translate complex data into actionable insights, leveraging advanced statistical, machine learning, and cloud-based analytical techniques.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of data science projects - from data collection and exploration to model development, evaluation, and deployment.
  • Design and implement predictive models, NLP solutions, and advanced analytics to solve business and operational problems.
  • Work with large, complex datasets from multiple sources, ensuring data quality, consistency, and security.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate data science solutions into production systems (cloud or on-prem).
  • Mentor junior data scientists and analysts, providing technical guidance and peer reviews.
  • Present findings and visualizations to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, and research in AI/ML and data science.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (Ph.D. preferred).
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience applying machine learning and statistical modeling to real-world problems.
