Job description

We are seeking a Data Science Consultant to support our Army Client. This is a hybrid position and the candidate will be required to work from the client location in Crystal City, Arlington VA at least 2 days a week.
  • Design new solutions using Databricks (SQL, Python, Pyspark) and Palantir Foundry to deliver capabilities meeting business functional requirements.
  • Design modifications to existing data model solutions as needed.
  • Define test cases and verify test results to ensure solutions are functioning as designed.
  • Build data models and reports using datasets from ERPs and legacy systems.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and users to determine reporting requirements and convert business requirements into technical specifications.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 2+ years hands on development experience
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python and Pyspark.
  • Experience working in data engineering, data science and data analytics. Note that this is not a Cloud Full Stack developer role.
  • Familiarity with Databricks
  • Familiarity with database design and architecture; relational and non-relational databases
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, and participate in discussions
  • Knowledge of cloud architecture: commercial cloud vendors (AWS/Azure)
  • Competence with software engineering tools and processes (estimation, issue tracking, version control, debugging, etc.)
  • Proven ability to work independently on assigned tasks without any supervision.
  • Proven experience in knowledge sharing (i.e., code reviews, solid documentation)
  • Driven, self-directed personality
  • Strong sense of mission and commitment to making a difference
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Active Secret Clearance

Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience with ETL pipelines, data pipelines, and/or workflow automation
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to foster positive outcomes from diverse interests of people and teams
  • Experience working with the DoD
  • Experience working with GFEBS or other SAP ERP system

$85,000-$125,000 USD
