Overview

CIS Secure is seeking a Senior Data Science Consultant for its Intrepid Solutions operating company to support a mission-critical Department of the Air Force program. This position provides senior-level technical leadership supporting enterprise analytics, data science initiatives, workflow enablement, and advanced decision support within a secure Government environment.

The Senior Data Science Consultant will collaborate with Government leadership, mission stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to develop scalable data-driven solutions that improve operational effectiveness, enable enterprise analytics, and support strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will leverage advanced analytical techniques, data management best practices, and workflow optimization strategies to improve organizational performance across complex mission environments.

This position is well suited for an experienced professional who enjoys solving challenging analytical problems, advising senior leadership, and delivering innovative solutions that support mission success.

Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities
  • Provide senior-level technical leadership supporting enterprise analytics, data science initiatives, and workflow enablement.
  • Collaborate with Government leadership, mission partners, analysts, and technical teams to identify analytical requirements and develop data-driven solutions.
  • Support the configuration, implementation, and optimization of Government-directed enterprise data platform capabilities.
  • Develop advanced analytical products, executive briefings, dashboards, reports, and visualizations that support operational decision-making.
  • Analyze complex operational datasets to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and actionable insights.
  • Recommend data-driven strategies that improve mission effectiveness, operational efficiency, and organizational performance.
  • Support enterprise workflow automation and process improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical guidance regarding data management, analytical methodologies, and enterprise reporting capabilities.
  • Evaluate existing analytical processes and recommend improvements that increase scalability, efficiency, and data quality.
  • Support data governance, information quality, metadata management, and lifecycle management activities.
  • Mentor junior analysts and provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams when required.
  • Ensure all analytical products comply with customer standards, security requirements, and mission objectives.
  • Protect classified and sensitive information in accordance with Government security requirements.
  • Perform assigned duties independently while supporting customer priorities and strategic mission objectives.
OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS:

This is a full-time onsite position supporting operations at a Government facility within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The selected candidate must be capable of independently supporting high-visibility Government initiatives while collaborating across multiple organizations in a classified environment.

TRAVEL:

Limited travel may be required to support customer meetings, technical working groups, mission planning activities, training events, or other program requirements.

Qualifications CLEARANCE:
  • Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance required at the time of application.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) eligibility and any customer-required accesses.
  • This position requires work within a Government-owned or controlled Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).
CITIZENSHIP:
  • Must be a United States citizen.
EDUCATION
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in any field.
CERTIFICATION(S)
  • No certifications are required at the time of hire.
  • In accordance with contract requirements, successful candidates may be required to obtain a Palantir Foundry Application Developer Certification following contract award.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Ten (10) or more years of professional experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform senior-level analytical and technical duties independently.
  • Experience leading complex analytical efforts supporting executive or organizational decision-making.
  • Experience developing data-driven recommendations, analytical products, executive briefings, and strategic reports.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise data management principles and analytical methodologies.
  • Experience supporting enterprise reporting, workflow optimization, and business process improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information to executive audiences.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, Government stakeholders, and technical subject matter experts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience handling sensitive or classified information in accordance with established security procedures.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense or Department of the Air Force organizations.
  • Experience leading enterprise analytics or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience with enterprise data platforms, data governance, and large-scale analytical environments.
  • Experience using SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau, R, or similar analytical technologies.
  • Experience supporting workflow automation, process optimization, and enterprise reporting initiatives.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based analytical environments and modern data architectures.
  • Experience developing executive dashboards, performance metrics, and strategic decision-support products.
  • Experience with Palantir Foundry or similar enterprise data platforms is highly desirable.
  • Experience mentoring analysts or leading multidisciplinary technical teams.

Pay Range: $170,000.00 - $210,000.00 per year
