In this role, you'll use advanced analytics, machine learning, and data science techniques to solve complex business challenges and deliver insights that make a real impact.

Key Accountabilities
  • Employ sophisticated analytics, machine learning, and statistical methods for predictive and prescriptive modelling, forecasting, and simulations to solve business problems
  • Lead small projects from conception to completion, working with multiple teams of stakeholders directly to understand and address their analytic needs
  • Assist with research, implementation, and delivery of data products that support the work of the New England Electric Business, including data requests and dashboards.
  • Assemble small and large individual data sets that meet internal business requirements and are within the overall Electric Data Management (EDM) technology platform
  • Develop solutions to automate manual procedures and optimize data and solution delivery for end users.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
  • 2+ years' experience applying data science techniques in a business environment.
  • Strong skills in:
    • Python
    • SQL
    • Machine learning methods and tools
    • Relational databases such as Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Curious, collaborative, and motivated to learn.

Preferred

  • Master's degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • GIS programming knowledge or experience.
  • Experience in the energy industry or another regulated environment.

Salary

$103,000 - $121,000 a year
