Job description

Rohde & Schwarz is seeking a highly motivated, results oriented Application Engineer ideally based in Central Florida. As an Application Engineer, you'll provide solutions to complex problems faced by engineers and scientists designing and building today's most advanced aerospace, defense and commercial solutions. Working alongside our sales, marketing, and R&D teams, you will be demonstrating products, providing training, and delivering technical support to our broad customer base. By functioning as a consultative solutions provider, our Application Engineers are often treated as an extension of the customer's internal technical teams. Your tasks
  • Technical support for RF and Microwave Test and Measurement instruments and applications
  • Work closely with a team of Application Engineers and regional Account Managers to drive customer engagement and satisfaction
  • Develop and deliver technical seminars and customer training sessions in the South Region
  • Pre/Post-sales support, including customer demonstrations, equipment start-up, and training
  • Consultant to customers involved in research, development and test of RF and Microwave products and systems
  • Provide technical feedback to product developers to influence product enhancements and future roadmaps

Your qualifications
  • BSEE or equivalent with > 5 years of experience
  • Minimum 3 years working directly in RF and Microwave test, measurement or design
  • Experience working with test equipment including Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Oscilloscopes, power supplies and Vector Network Analyzers
  • Experience in the test and evaluation of RF & Microwave components, systems and materials
  • Knowledge of advanced RF & Microwave system requirements, techniques and industry trends
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer interfacing skills
  • Ability to travel 30%-40% primarily within the Southern US, with occasional US & international travel
  • In order to be considered, candidates must reside in the US and have with valid US work authorization

The total compensation for this position is $115-$190K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
