Job description

Aide, Intervention Position

Olentangy Schools is seeking qualified candidates for an Aide, Intervention position available at Walnut Creek Elementary School for the 2026-27 school year. This position will assist special needs students with classroom activities and encourage independence. Qualified candidates must hold or be eligible to hold a valid aide permit (where appropriate) for each position with the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.

Employment status: Classified, 185-day employment contract

Qualifications for the position include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid and appropriate Ohio Educational Aide Permit
  • Alternative to the above qualifications as Superintendent and/or Board of Education may find appropriate

Internal candidates (currently employed by Olentangy Schools) must submit an internal online application in Applicant Tracking (SchoolSpring). NOTE: If you are an ESC employee, intern, off-staff advisor/coach, short- or long-term substitute, or student teacher you must apply as an external candidate.

External candidates must submit an external online application in Applicant Tracking (SchoolSpring) and complete an online Support Candidate Assessment. In addition, a letter of interest and current resume must be uploaded within the Attachments section of the application. The online Support Candidate Assessment is sent via a link under separate email cover. On occasion, the email may end up in junk or spam mail. If so, the link will be titled "Do Not Reply" with the subject "Regarding your Olentangy Local Schools application". Keep in mind that the Support Candidate Assessment is a timed assessment, so please set aside approximately 45 minutes of uninterrupted time before you begin the process. Once the assessment is started, it must be completed within the designated time frame, and multiple attempts to complete the assessment are not permitted.
