Job description

Consumer Loan Processor
The pay range for this position is listed below. Our pay ranges are built to allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered, as well as for room for growth and tenure achieved in a role over time. Typical new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their unique set of knowledge, skills, education, and experience as well as internal equity.

What You'll Be Doing
Responsible for communicating loan decisions to Members who have applied or have been pre-approved for consumer loan products in order to promote and advise Members of the benefits of SchoolsFirst FCU's loan products and/or services. Assists Members with general questions about the process to fund their loans and auto buying services available to them.

  • Communicates consumer loan decisions to Members and advises them of loan stipulations for loan approvals and counter offers.
  • Provides phone support to partner dealerships and front line teammembers.
  • Executes funding for selected indirect auto loans and escalates exceptions or non standard scenarios to higher level processors.
  • Initiates additional or second loan review to Loan Officers, after discussion with Member about their loan decision.
  • Provides consultative services to Members regarding Credit Union products and services, ancillary products and auto buying programs by assessing the Member's needs, addressing their concerns and gaining agreement.
  • When requested, takes additional loan applications and may assist with consumer loan application fundings.
  • Provides world class personal service to Members by assisting with consumer loan products and services in a caring, friendly, courteous and professional manner.
  • Complies will all requirements of the Consumer Loan department's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), including contacting Members and advising them of reasons for declined loan requests.
  • Processes incoming dispatches and responds to dealer messages.
Additional Job Functions
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements including but not limited to BSA regulations corresponding to their specific job duties. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary and other employment related actions

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • less than 1 year of prior related experience required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to learn and demonstrate technical knowledge of SchoolsFirst FCU auto buying programs and ancillary products
