A School Registered Nurse RN ESY (Extended School Year) provides health care services to students during summer or extended school programs. Their responsibilities include administering medications, managing chronic health conditions, responding to medical emergencies, and promoting a healthy school environment. They also collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to support student well-being and ensure compliance with individual health plans. The ESY setting often involves working with students who have special needs or require additional support beyond the regular school year.
