Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to drive delivery excellence across our engineering organization. In this role, you will partner with two development teams to ensure predictable, high-quality delivery while owning cross-functional programs and initiatives that improve how we build and ship software. You will be the connective tissue between teams, stakeholders, and leadership - mapping dependencies, managing risk, and coordinating execution.

This is a hybrid position, offering the flexibility of remote work and in-person collaboration at our downtown Vancouver office.

Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Delivery & Coordination
  • Own and drive end-to-end delivery for cross-functional programs and initiatives
  • Establish program milestones, track progress against commitments, and proactively surface risks to stakeholders
  • Provide clear, data-driven reporting on program health and status
Stakeholder Alignment & Communication
  • Map and manage cross-team dependencies, ensuring alignment on interfaces, timelines, and commitments
  • Translate between technical details and stakeholder-friendly updates for Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and senior leadership
  • Partner with Engineering and Product leadership to align on trade-offs, priorities, and resource allocation
Team Delivery Leadership
  • Partner with two Scrum teams to lead delivery and ensure predictability
  • Ensure effective team meetings, including team and scaled agile ceremonies
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering Managers to align priorities and manage scope
  • Identify and remove blockers, escalating systemic impediments and driving resolution
  • Help teams navigate technical trade-offs and decompose complex initiatives into deliverable increments
Continuous Improvement
  • Cultivate an environment where teams feel empowered to self-organize, experiment, and grow
  • Design and implement improvements to team and program delivery, measuring impact and sharing learnings
  • Advocate for agile values and practices that enable teams to deliver incrementally, learn quickly, and respond to change
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, Business, IT, etc.) or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a related role (Technical Program Manager, Scrum Master, Project Manager, Delivery Lead, etc.)
  • Technical capability to engage credibly with engineering teams
  • Strong program management skills - defining milestones, tracking progress, managing dependencies, etc.
  • Solid understanding of modern software delivery practices and Agile principles
  • Proactive problem-solver with a passion for continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a technical role (software developer, QA engineer, analyst, etc.)
  • Agile or delivery certification (CSM, PSM, PMP, SAFe, etc.)
  • Experience using AI tools to optimize development processes
  • Familiarity with data analysis, metrics, and reporting tooling
  • Experience coordinating delivery across multiple teams in a scaled agile environment
  • Exposure to physical security, video, IoT, cloud, or embedded systems domains
  • Experience working with remote and distributed teams across time zones

Target Base Salary Range: 90,000 - 110,000 CAD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
