Job description

We've made a lot of progress since opening the doors in 1942, but one thing has never changed - our commitment to serve, heal, lead, educate, and innovate. We believe that every award earned, every record broken and every patient helped is because of the dedicated employees who fill our hallways.

Ochsner Health's Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking a motivated academic emergency physician to join our growing Division of Emergency Ultrasound, with the unique opportunity to serve as Program Director in establishing our Advanced Emergency Ultrasonography Fellowship. This position is ideal for an ultrasound fellowship trained emergency physician with a passion for program development, mentorship, and advancing point-of-care ultrasound education at a major academic medical center.
The Division of Emergency Ultrasound has experienced substantial growth alongside the launch of our Emergency Medicine residency program in 2020. The division currently consists of three ultrasound fellowship trained emergency physicians and is fully integrated into the department's clinical and educational mission. The division oversees comprehensive ultrasound education and resident rotations, providing a strong foundation for the development of an advanced fellowship program. The Fellowship Program Director will lead the creation and administration of the fellowship, with active support from existing division faculty.
