Position Summary:

The Pine Jog Environmental Education Center of Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Afterschool Office Assistant - West Palm Beach, FL.


Afterschool Office Assistant helps support a quality afterschool program for the students that attend Pine Jog Elementary School. Our goal is to meet the fundamental needs for growth and development for all children attending our program by providing a safe and healthy environment. It is important that children be given the best possible opportunities to grow into healthy, well-adjusted youth. Responsible for assisting with program operations, administration, and clerical support activities.


Summary of Responsibilities:


  • Recommends policy for program operations and advises faculty/administrators in the unit regarding interpretations, applications, and implementation of new or revised rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of a school-age childcare (SACC) program and summer camp program. Integrate environmental education and program inventory.
  • Maintain Sign-In and Sign-Out Duties.
  • Responsible for monitoring that all parent's signatures are accurate with names and times.
  • Maintain all registrar forms are up to date in our ProCare system.
  • Create and review attendance lists.
  • Make sure that Accident and Incident Reports supplies are always available and that they are filed away accurately.
  • Make sure ELC sign-in and sign-out sheets are submitted in a timely manner.
  • Attend meetings conduct observations, participate in the scoring meetings and submit notes to the Director or Assistant Director.
  • Negotiate contracts for a variety of services.
  • Filing, checking phoneand ProCare messages, maintaining program master calendar updates, andperforming other job-related duties as assigned.
