Job description

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a full-time 1:1 Paraprofessional. This contract position begins as soon as possible and is designed to cover a maternity leave, with an anticipated end date extending into October or potentially beyond, offering the chance for a meaningful, extended assignment.

In this role, you’ll provide individualized assistance to students within a school setting, helping create a positive, inclusive learning environment. Your support will be integral to a student’s academic progress and daily success.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous experience as a paraprofessional or working 1:1 with students is highly valued
  • Comfort working within a school environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit
  • Ability to follow directions from lead teachers and special education staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-on-one instructional and behavioral support to a designated student
  • Assist with classroom activities, assignments, and social integration
  • Aid in personal care or mobility support if needed
  • Implement instructional strategies as directed by educators
  • Document observations and report on student progress
  • Foster a safe and supportive atmosphere
