An exciting component of Midwest Counseling's growing practice is our Internship Program!
Midwest Counseling Internship Program is designed for master's students pursuing a career in behavioral health. This internship program provides a valuable learning experience by providing students with the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in a supportive and challenging environment. The goal of the program is to prepare students for a successful career in the field of behavioral health by providing them with practical skills, knowledge, and hands-on experience in a variety of social service settings.
Midwest Counseling Internship Program offers students a range of services, including training on clinical skills and note documentation, counseling skills, and assessment tools. Students also receive supervision from experienced clinical professionals who help them develop their professional skills and competencies, and who support them in their transitions from students to professionals. In addition, students gain experience in working with mental health, and other behavioral health concerns in diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and families.
In addition, Midwest Counseling has a dedicated administrative staff that handles all the behind-the-scenes tasks such as maintain paperwork, matching and assigning clients to interns, administrative supervision and support, assigning tasks, and maintaining relationships with partnering schools.
