Illinois Central School Bus, a division of North America Central School Bus is looking for Bus Aides to join our growing team in Waterloo, IL.
In this role, you will have an influence on our future leaders and part of a team that is DEDICATED to the communities we serve. Our employees are VALUED & APPRECIATED, which makes them the backbone of our FAMILY.
Description:
  • Knows the route and remains alert to monitor the welfare of passengers while enroute. Keeps order on the bus.
  • Communicates behavior problems and conditions of various stops with the driver. Cooperates and communicates with school personnel, parents and students.
  • Assists in pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus, including child checks, CSRS and wheel chairlifts
  • Assists students in the loading and unloading process.
  • Cooperates and communicates with school personnel, parents and students.
  • Attend all safety and training meetings.
  • Conducts emergency evacuation from the bus, including exiting from the emergency door. May also require physical removal of disabled child from bus.
  • Assist driver in completion of required paperwork for District, State, ICSB, etc.
  • Cleans the insides of the bus including sweeping, dusting and cleaning windows.
  • Other specialized functions as required by contract.

Qualification:
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • At least 18 years old & hold a valid state I.D.
  • Pass a background check, drug screen & physical
