Job description

Company Description
Battle's Transportation Inc. is now providing transportation services for student-athletes on behalf of DC Public School Department of Athletics, DC Interscholastic Athletic Association (DCIAA), to and from athletic sporting events and practices at various locations within and out of the District of Columbia Metropolitan Area on numerous calendar dates for the DCPS school year. This contract includes seasonal full-time and part-time positions to serve the District of Columbia Public School Systems Athletic Department.
Job Description
Drivers are to provide Transportation Services for Athletic Teams and transport students to their scheduled sporting events and or practices in a safe and timely manner. The driver must be a mature individual and able to conduct safe service and transport for students.
Qualifications
โ€ข Must be able to pass a pre-employment screening, including drug and alcohol testing.
โ€ข Complete mandatory contractual training.
โ€ข Must have valid CDL driver's license with a passenger endorsement. However, applicant must acquire their school bus endorsement within their ninety-day probationary period. Battle's will assist with the use of a vehicle to obtain the school bus endorsement.
โ€ข Previous school bus driving experience a plus.
โ€ข Driving history must be in adherence with the Safety Violation Policy.
โ€ข Must have clear local and national criminal history. No felony or misdemeanor involving drugs and/or violent crimes. (FBI clearance if applicable.)
โ€ข Must have clear DCPS background clearance.
โ€ข Must have high school diploma or equivalency.
โ€ข Verification of Child Protection Registry clearance.
โ€ข DOT Medical clearance.
โ€ข Current First Aid and CPR certification.
โ€ข Read, acknowledge and adhere to Attendance Policy.
โ€ข Read, acknowledge and adhere to Dress Code Policy.
โ€ข Read, acknowledge and adhere to Safety Violation Policy.
โ€ข Read, acknowledge and adhere to HIPPA Policy.
โ€ข Read, acknowledge and adhere to Sexual Harassment Policy.

โ€ข All prescriptions and over the counter drugs you intake, any illness, injury or condition that may affect safety and performance must be reported to management immediately for clearance to work.
