Job description

Teletherapy School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist

This teletherapy role requires the SLP to be available M-F for eight (8) consecutive hours during the school day, based on the assigned schools. Schools are open 7:15-2:15, 8:15-3:15, or 9:15-4:15, Central Time.

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFs) considered
  • Current TN SLP License (or willing to obtain)
  • Current TN Educator License (or willing to obtain)
  • Have a valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Pass background check clearance
  • Possess strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Have the ability to walk, bend, sit, and stand during the work shift
  • Provide own transportation
  • Experience with pediatric populations
Responsibilities:
  • Provide evaluations, develop and implement therapy goals
  • Diagnose speech and language pathologies
  • Act as a liaison and collaborate with other professionals/team members and families to provide well-rounded care
  • Educate students and teachers in proper treatment techniques, including the use of assistive devices
  • Provide written documentation of client services, including but not limited to, writing session notes and uploading them to a database timely
  • Develop or collaborate on the development of the IEP (Individual Education Plan)
