Job Overview

Transcend LV is seeking an experienced Senior Low Voltage Field Technician to join our Field Operations team. In this role, you'll take the lead on installing and servicing structured cabling, access control systems, security cameras, AV setups, and sound masking technologies for commercial and industrial clients. You'll also have the opportunity to lead small crews (1–3 techs), solve real-time challenges, and represent Transcend with professionalism and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and service structured cabling, access control, CCTV, AV systems, and sound masking solutions.
  • Read and interpret project documentation, blueprints, and wiring schematics.
  • Lead small field teams of up to 3 technicians on job sites.
  • Maintain accurate documentation using tablets, smartphones, and project management tools.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and project managers.
  • Ensure job site safety and compliance with company standards and local regulations.
  • Perform testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of low-voltage systems.
  • Maintain and transport tools, equipment, and materials as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned in support of project completion and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in low-voltage installation and service.
  • Proven ability to lead small field teams and manage job site operations.
  • Strong knowledge of structured cabling, security systems, access control, AV, and sound masking.
  • Tech-savvy with experience using smartphones, tablets, and computers in the field.
  • Excellent communication, punctuality, and organizational skills.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

Preferred:

  • BICSI or structured cabling manufacturer certifications
  • Access control and security system manufacturer certifications
  • AV and sound masking manufacturer certifications
  • Current low-voltage license (preferred but not required)
