Job description

Schenectady ARC has been providing services to developmentally disabled adults since 1952 and is committed to helping people within the Capital Region enjoy healthy, rewarding lives as members of their community. Schenectady ARC brings staff, families and community together to encourage dreams and respond to each person's life choices by offering high quality services, resources and supports. 

Position:  Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Compensation Range:  $20.30-29.03

Hours:  Full time, Monday-Friday, 35 hours/week

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide nursing tasks within the scope of practice for an LPN with RN oversight and will have responsibility in areas of both primary medical and psychiatry services for Schenectady ARC’s onsite clinic, Ridge Health Services.

LPN will ensure accurate documentation on each patient' confidential clinical record is maintained including diagnostic assessment reports, individual plan of treatment, and treatment notes regarding services being recommended or delivered. LPN will make sure prescription call lines are reviewed each day, pull and prepare medication tracking sheets and communicate with specialist offices and diagnostic facilities to schedule appointments/testing and instruct patients on testing procedures. Additional duties include, but are not limited to: documenting vaccines, obtaining blood specimens and preparing to ship to lab, stock patient rooms before visits.

Minimum Qualifications:
* Valid NYS LPN licensure

* Basic computer skills

* Clinic/Physician’s office and phlebotomy experience preferred

* Experience with electronic medical records system preferred (Cure MD a plus)
