Job description

The Scheduling Specialist plays a critical role in supporting litigation operations at Strategic Legal Practices by ensuring court-related scheduling is accurate, timely, and fully coordinated. This position works directly with partners and senior counsel on a daily basis and serves as a central point of coordination for hearings, depositions, and trial matters across California. Responsibilities include managing and monitoring court dockets statewide, confirming hearings and depositions are proceeding as scheduled, coordinating attorney appearances, tracking cases approaching trial, and working with third-party legal vendors essential to litigation operations. The role provides high-volume legal administrative and scheduling support within a fast-paced litigation environment.

  • Manage and monitor court dockets for counties across California to track hearings, deadlines, and trial settings
  • Schedule and confirm attorney appearances for all hearings and depositions, ensuring accuracy and full coverage
  • Work with third-party legal vendors essential to litigation and legal operations
  • Confirm hearings and depositions are proceeding as scheduled and accurately document continuances
  • Track cases approaching trial and maintain accurate scheduling records
  • Work directly with the firm’s partner and senior counsel attorneys daily
  • Provide high-volume legal administrative and scheduling support within a litigation environment

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
