Job description

The Project Scheduler reports directly to the Director of Construction and provides dedicated scheduling development and support to Project Managers by helping with scope, budget management, cost control, and analysis for various projects. The Scheduler will also focus on developing, implementing, and maintaining automated program management processes.

Job Description:

  • Conduct analysis of existing schedules ensuring workflow is following schedule and communicating with Project Manager’s whenever issues arise that may impact schedule
  • Create/maintain task schedules including deliverable milestones
  • Provide regular schedule status President, Vice President and Construction Manager
  • Perform critical path analysis and Performance Measurement Tracking/Analysis at appropriate levels and timeframes
  • Knowledge of construction drawings, P/6 and Microsoft Office assisting to set up tasks and sub tasks to ensure satisfactory realization of project contract requirements as scheduled.
  • Organizing, implementing and maintaining scheduling management system Primavera P6.
  • Report on status of critical activities and schedule inaccuracies.
  • Interact with owner and project staff to schedule work and coordinate assignments, and support identified projects and their plans.
  • Log all new information into database and providing scheduled reports for contract coordination and reporting purposes.
  • Log project timelines and maintaining database of tasks and its status.
  • Develop and update weekly short interval schedule working with superintendents and field engineers.
  • Maintain understanding of construction management, engineering processes and flow starting from engineering design, process mapping and engineering data structures.
  • Have a thorough grasp of project costing and management concepts.
  • Design and develop project schedule, interacting with project team and task managers to define scope of work to develop and update detailed schedules, cost information and identification of variances from original plan.
  • Support project management team to maintain timely and effective change management processes, procedures and systems and project progress.
  • Analyze critical path and constraints to determine effect of changes to schedule and recommending work-around.
  • Attend scheduled related meetings and work with fellow colleagues to prepare future schedules by performing such other duties and assuming any such other responsibilities, as may be assigned by the company.
  • Work with the project team, develop concise schedules for all new project awards
