Production Scheduler

Location: Ravenna, OH
Status: Full-Time, Exempt

Position Overview

LG Chem Ohio Petrochemical, Inc. (LGCOP) is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Production Scheduler to support manufacturing operations at our ABS Compounding Facility in Ravenna, Ohio. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules, managing inventory and ERP transactions, analyzing production data, and coordinating daily activities across Production, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Quality, Maintenance, and Customer Service functions.

The ideal candidate will possess strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and communicate daily and long-range production schedules.
  • Coordinate production priorities based on customer demand, inventory levels, material availability, and manufacturing capacity.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy through timely ERP transactions and inventory reconciliation activities.
  • Analyze production performance, inventory data, and operational metrics to support business decisions.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to production, inventory, and operational performance.
  • Support month-end closing activities and required operational reporting.
  • Collaborate with Production, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Maintenance, Quality, Sales, and other stakeholders to ensure schedule attainment and on-time customer delivery.
  • Monitor rework inventory and support material utilization initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements related to scheduling, inventory control, and reporting.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain data integrity within SAP and other business systems.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in production scheduling, production planning, inventory control, materials planning, supply chain coordination, or manufacturing operations.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems; SAP experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in plastics, polymer compounding, chemical manufacturing, or other process manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with inventory management, production reporting, and operational analytics.
  • APICS/ASCM CPIM certification preferred.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools is a plus.
