Job Summary: The Scan Coordinator is responsible for maintaining overall price integrity for the store. This requires the Scan Coordinator to conduct daily, weekly, and monthly price changes, including changing shelf signs, and tags, promotional signs, and ensures compliance with all company and governmental compliance regulations. As a team member of Pete's Fresh Market it is important that Pete's Four Pillars of Value, Aesthetic, Quality, and Customer Service are always exemplified.
Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Review all e-mailed Manager's Reports from all stores- one store's scan issue is most likely affecting the entire company; take action for your store's discrepancies by researching the problems and reporting your findings to buyer and or pricing manager
  • Tag, apply, and audit all batches sent
  • Apply, tag, audit and maintain all weekly ads, monthly ads, promos and manager's specials
  • Act as communication liaison between all departments regarding scan issues (effective communicator)
  • Run reports weekly and daily for store losses, donations, open-key, etc.
  • Perform complete produce audits weekly and bulk audits
  • Perform store audits during downtime
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Certifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalency w/ 5 years of experience in grocery store, deli, or similar retail environment.
  • Associate or Bachelor Degree in Business a plus
  • People management training classes or experience
  • Must have above average cash handling and basic math/calculating skills.
  • Sanitation License

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must have three to five years of relevant experience.
  • Must be 18 years old or older.
  • Must be capable of providing and modeling exceptional customer service.
  • Must have excellent communication skills in order to communicate effectively with customers, store leadership, and fellow-team members.
  • Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently or in groups.

Work Environment/ Physical Demands
  • Must have the physical ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time, bend and stoop to grasp objects, frequently push and pull up to 100 lbs., frequently lift loads up to 50 lbs., and occasionally lift 75 lbs.
  • Occasional high stress when dealing with systems/customers/staff.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule with various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as determined by the store/business needs and as required to ensure adequate store staffing.
  • Must have reliable source of transportation.
  • The ability to be reached during/after work hours.

Starting hourly rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and will vary based on things like location, experience, and qualifications. All positions are eligible for Overtime, and some positions will have guaranteed Overtime available.
Hourly rate for Suburban Stores is $15-$20
Hourly rate for City of Chicago Stores is $16.60-$20
