JOB OPENING FOR:Deputy Clerk IN THEWashington County Clerk/ Auditor's OfficeFULL TIME / WITH BENEFITS$21.26 per hour Washington County is seeking a professional, detail-oriented, and service-minded Deputy Clerk I to join the Office of the County Clerk/Auditor. This position supports important County services including elections, voter registration, taxation and abatements, marriage licensing, passports, records management, and customer service.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide friendly and professional customer service to the public.Process applications, forms, filings, fees, payments, and other transactions accurately.Assist with election preparation and operations and voter registration.Support marriage licensing, passports, taxation and abatements, and other Clerk/Auditorfunctions.Maintain, scan, file, archive, and retrieve confidential records.Use office software, databases, and specialized County systems.Follow applicable laws, policies, procedures, and deadlines.Maintain accurate records and handle confidential information appropriately.QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalent; and One (1) year of general office, clerical, or customer service experience;Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHOProvides excellent customer service.Has strong communication and organizational skills.Is detail-oriented and dependable.Can maintain confidentiality and accuracy.Uses good judgment and discretion.Can manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Works well independently and as part of a team.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTSMust obtain required Passport Acceptance Agent and VOTE certifications.May become a Notary Public as required.Spanish fluency is preferred.Personal cell phone required. For a complete job description and to apply: https://www.washco.utah.gov/forms/human-resources/jobs/Applications must be submitted onlineWashington County is an equal opportunity employer.
