Job Summary
The Scalehouse Attendant serves as the first point of contact for customers depositing waste at a waste services facility. This role involves greeting customers, ensuring safe load inspections, handling payment transactions, and maintaining the scalehouse. Attention to safety, accuracy, and customer service is essential.
Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and direct customers and facility traffic
  • Accurately calculate and process customer payments
  • Inspect incoming waste loads to ensure safety and compliance
  • Ensure all parties follow safety procedures and wear required PPE
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the scalehouse
  • Complete administrative tasks, including filing and reporting
  • Inform supervisors of any issues requiring attention
  • Attend company-sponsored training and meetings
  • Enter data accurately and handle minor customer service tasks
  • Support team operations as needed, including working overtime when required
  • Provide professional, service-oriented interaction with customers, vendors, and colleagues

Education:
