Job description

Electrical Foreman - Cedar Rapids, IA (x15)
Pay: $35-$45 

  • Lead, coordinate and supervise electrical crews on mission-critical or commercial electrical projects, ensuring work is aligned with project schedules and quality standards.
  • Test electrical systems using appropriate tools, interpret blueprints and schematics, determine where issues may be occurring, and troubleshoot to ensure system safety and compatibility. 
  • Document all actions, testing results, observations, final diagnoses and corrective steps for each job or work situation. 
  • Maintain safe work environments by adhering to company, state, and OSHA safety standards; report violations and enforce compliance among field crews. 
  • Perform conduit bending from 1⁄2? up to 4?, use ladders, scaffolding and lifts for system installations or maintenance, and ensure tools and equipment are in good, safe working condition. 
  • Contribute to—or direct—installation, testing, troubleshooting and commissioning of electrical systems; coordinate manpower needs and place material orders after competitive price comparisons when required. 
  • Develop and monitor project construction schedules, adjust as needed to support on-time delivery and cost targets. 
  • Ensure good housekeeping and general cleanliness of work areas to maintain professional jobsite conditions. 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in the electrical trade, with at least 4 years leading electrical teams on mission-critical or industrial/commercial projects. 
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, maps and schematics; strong troubleshooting skills and experience with testing devices.
  • Proven leadership in coordinating crew activities, material orders, equipment needs, and multi-discipline communications on the jobsite.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean record; ability to work on elevated platforms, lifts and scaffolds; physical ability to handle field tasks and equipment safely.
