Scaffold Driver / Scaffold Crew Lead
Location: Bradenton, Florida
Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Scaffold Supervisor
Department Oversight: Field Supervisor
Pay rate: $23 - $25 per hour DOE
About the Role
We are seeking a dependable, physically capable, and safety-minded Scaffold Driver / Scaffold Crew Lead to support our scaffold operations.
This person must be able to drive a large manual transmission / stick-shift scaffold truck, safely load and unload heavy scaffold materials, and carry equipment from the truck to the area where the scaffold will be erected.
Scaffold setup experience is not required. We can train the right person in how to set up scaffolds. However, the candidate must already be comfortable with heavy lifting, large trucks, job site work, and heights.
Key Responsibilities
  • Drive large scaffold trucks safely, including manual / stick-shift vehicles.
  • Load and unload scaffold materials, planks, and equipment.
  • Carry scaffold equipment from the truck to the setup area.
  • Lift and move heavy materials, including 16-foot scaffold planks.
  • Assist the scaffold crew with staging materials and preparing for scaffold setup.
  • Work around scaffolds, swing stages, condos, and tall buildings.
  • Follow all safety procedures and job site instructions.
  • Help support or lead a small crew of 2-3 people when needed.
  • Assist with multiple job sites when crews need to be split.

Required Qualifications
  • Must know how to drive a large stick-shift / manual transmission truck.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must have a safe driving record and at least 3 years of driving experience.
  • Must be able to perform heavy lifting throughout the day.
  • Must be able to load, unload, carry, and move scaffold materials.
  • Must be able to handle 16-foot scaffold planks.
  • Must not be afraid of heights.
  • Must be comfortable working around scaffolds and swing stages at significant heights.
  • Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn.
  • Must have leadership ability or the potential to help lead a small crew.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience driving large work trucks, scaffold trucks, or similar construction vehicles.
  • Air brake experience is a plus.
  • Construction, scaffolding, restoration, or field labor experience is helpful.
  • Crew lead, foreman, or supervisory experience is a plus.
