POSITION DETAILS:
Job Type: Full-Time
FLSA: Non-Exempt Hourly Wage
Schedule: Mon-Fri 7-3:30pm. This position requires participation in an on-call rotation to respond to issues outside of standard business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Location: Verbio Nevada
Travel: No Travel
WHAT WE WILL EXPECT FROM YOU
In this role, you will support the safe and reliable operation of plant equipment by performing mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and completing preventive and predictive maintenance activities. You will work closely with operations and maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability, respond to equipment failures, and assist with installation and construction activities as needed. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced industrial environment. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Essential Functions of the Job:
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and systems to ensure safe and reliable plant operations.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities to identify and correct mechanical defects before equipment failure occurs.
  • Respond to and perform emergency maintenance on failed or malfunctioning equipment to minimize operational downtime.
  • Install, modify, and commission various types of industrial equipment and machinery as required.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the shutdown and startup of equipment during planned maintenance outages and shutdown projects.
  • Adhere to all OSHA and National Electrical Safety Code regulations and procedures.
  • Develop collaborative working relationships between the operations and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability.
  • Perform industrial mechanical construction and maintenance activities as needed.
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to review and document maintenance work.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Two (2) years of relevant on-the-job experience
  • Experienced in industrial mechanical maintenance and process systems
  • Familiar with computerized maintenance managements systems
  • Willingness to work a rotating on-call schedule
  • Relevant maintenance certifications are preferred; OSHA, Rigging & Signaling, precision maintenance, welding or other
  • Written and verbal communication skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Must wear and maintain company required Personal Protective Equipment including, but not limited to: FR pants/ long-sleeve shirt, safety glasses, hard hat, safety-toe boots, hearing protection, and gloves
• Physically able to perform the following job essential functions, inclusive of but not limited to: crouching, kneeling, bending, walking long distances, lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying up to 50 pounds, work at heights, continuous work in confined spaces, ascend/ descend/ work from: stairs/ladders/scaffolding.
• Must have the ability to work continuously in an environment inclusive of but not limited to: dust, loud noise(s), walk on uneven or slippery surfaces, outdoors, heat/cold, poorly illuminated areas.
