Description
  • TheSCADA Implementation Project Manager is responsible for leading, planning,and executing the full lifecycle implementation of a new SupervisoryControl and Data Acquisition (SCADA) platform.
  • Thisincludes managing the transition and cutover from the existing legacySCADA system to the new solution, ensuring continuity of operations, dataintegrity, and compliance with cybersecurity and regulatory standards. TheProject Manager will coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors,integrators, and operational partners to deliver a secure, resilient, andfully validated system.
  • KeyResponsibilities:
  • Developand manage the end-to-end project plan for SCADA system replacement,including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality targets.
  • Leadproject governance activities in alignment with PMO standards, includingstatus reporting, risk and issue management, and stakeholdercommunication.
  • Coordinaterequirements gathering and ensure both current-state and future-stateoperational needs are captured to enable successful migration and cutover.
  • Overseeall activities related to transitioning from the legacy SCADA system,including data migration, point-to-point verification, interface mapping,and operational continuity planning.
  • Developand manage a detailed cutover strategy, including phased migration,fallback planning, parallel operations (as needed), and post-cutovervalidation.
  • Managevendor selection, contracting, and performance, ensuring alignment withcutover milestones, integration requirements, and acceptance criteria.
  • Partnerwith Engineering, IT, OT, cybersecurity, and field operations to guidesystem design, network architecture, and regulatory compliance.
  • Direct integrationactivities such as PLC/RTU upgrades, historian migration, alarm strategyrationalization, and system interoperability testing.
  • Leadsystem testing cycles including FAT, SAT, end-to-end testing, redundancyfailover validation, and user acceptance testing.
  • Workwith Operations and field teams to develop and execute commissioningplans, operational readiness activities, and training on the new SCADAenvironment.
  • Driveorganizational change management and communication efforts to support asmooth transition from the legacy system.
  • Managecutover execution, monitor stability during the transition period, andensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Overseethe handoff to steady-state support, including documentation, warrantytracking, and transition to maintenance teams.

Requirements
Mandatory skills:
  • Bachelor'sdegree in Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Technology,Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+years of project management experience in industrial automation,utilities, energy, manufacturing, or infrastructure environments.
  • SCADAproject experience is required.
  • Provenexperience managing SCADA, DCS, or other industrial control systemreplacement or modernization projects.
  • Demonstratedexpertise in system migration, cutover planning, and operationalcontinuity management.
  • Strongunderstanding of ICS/OT systems, networking, cybersecurity standards, andhigh-availability system design.
  • Excellentvendor and contract management skills.
  • Strongcommunication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement strengths.
  • PMP,Agile, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
