Overview
Your role will revolve around crafting innovative solutions for real-time grid management, including SCADA, EMS, ADMS, and DERMS systems. You thrive on pushing boundaries, constantly seeking opportunities to leverage artificial intelligence and automation for transformative outcomes.Recognizing the importance of collaboration, you'll engage closely with clients and teams, driving innovation through co-location and partnership at client sites. At M.C. Dean, you'll lead the charge in shaping the future of grid management, driving progress, and delivering unparalleled solutions.
Responsibilities
  • Take the lead in crafting integrated solution architectures of new and existing ADMS, DERMS, SCADA, and/or EMS systems.
  • Collaborate closely with vendor and client architecture teams to delineate solution alternatives, foster agreement, and steer pivotal decision-making processes.
  • Guide the process of obtaining client endorsement for the overarching solution blueprint.
  • Forging partnerships with integration leads to devise holistic integration architectures and strategies.
  • Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and pioneering grid management solutions, consistently enhancing our portfolio for clients.
  • Serve as a beacon of guidance and mentorship for aspiring leaders within M.C. Dean.
  • Cultivate deep-seated trust and advisory relationships with clients across all levels of the business, spanning strategic planning to operational execution.

Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience within the electric utilities sector.
  • A minimum of 5 years specializing in solution architecture.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with at least 5 years of direct involvement in real-time grid management, covering ADMS, DERMS, SCADA, and EMS systems.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with one or more of the following vendor software systems: Aspentech (including Aspen Energy Analyzer, Aspen Utilities Planner, Aspen GDOT, Aspen One Engineering Suite, Aspen Plus, OSI Monarch), Siemens Spectrum Power, ABB MicroSCADA, General Electric PowerOn, General Electric Grid Solutions (formerly GE Grid Solutions), General Electric Vernova, Schneider Electric EcoStruxure, OSIsoft PI System, Honeywell SCADA, Oracle Utilities Network Management System, Eaton CYME Grid Analysis, PcVue, Inductive Ignition, or similar product.

  • Demonstrated achievement in fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong inclination towards working within an information systems setting.

Education / Experience
  • Master's degree in electrical engineering, automation engineering, or a related field 5+ years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, automation engineering, or a related field with 7+ years of experience
