Job description

SCADA Engineer (Ignition)

We are seeking a SCADA Engineer (Ignition) to support the configuration, maintenance, and reliability of SCADA systems in a fast-paced operational environment. This role will focus on building and supporting facilities within the Ignition SCADA platform, integrating industrial devices, troubleshooting system issues, and ensuring overall system performance and availability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and configure new facilities within the Ignition SCADA platform
  • Collaborate with field technicians to test, validate, and troubleshoot newly deployed devices
  • Support 24/7 reliability and availability of SCADA systems in partnership with support teams
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to communication/connectivity, device configurations, tag definitions, and SQL database/table entries
  • Support integration of automation controllers and industrial systems
  • Partner with project teams, operations, and end users to deliver effective technical solutions

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; equivalent relevant experience may be considered
  • Hands-on experience with Ignition SCADA
  • Strong understanding of SQL and database management
  • Experience with industrial automation controllers and device integrations
  • Familiarity with industrial protocols such as Modbus, Allen-Bradley, Emerson, MQTT, and DNP3
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
