Job Description

Manages and coordinates the activities for assigned Business Banking Underwriting department. Ensures quality service and effective support for all of the assigned internal and external customers. Accomplishes results through the effective management of staff that may range from lower level non-exempt through exempt level professionals. Administers corporate policies and procedures and ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Conducts underwriting review process in a manner designed to minimize the bank's risk while employing problem resolution techniques in approving loans. Provides support and training for all staff, including underwriting guidelines for underwriting staff.

This role is within the Business Banking SBA Specialty Originations Team

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically eight to 10 years of related experience

Preferred Skills/Experience
- SBA Underwriting (Originations) experience

- Expert level of knowledge of all underwriting functions
- Strong organizational, managerial and problem-solving skills
- Well-developed customer relations skills
- Proficient interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Effective leadership, supervisory and management skills

- Proficiency with nCino

- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite - Excel/Teams/Outlook

-Experience working in a fast paced, high-volume environment

The role is posted as remote; however,candidates who are located near any one of ourlocations would be required to work on site atleast three days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $108,375.00 - $127,500.00
