Job description

Position Overview

Green Bay Packaging Inc. Kalamazoo Division is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Corrugated Sales Representative to drive profitable growth through the development of new business and the expansion of existing customer relationships. This position serves as the primary liaison between customers and Green Bay Packaging's manufacturing, design, customer service, and operations teams to deliver innovative corrugated packaging solutions that improve customers' supply chains, reduce total packaging costs, and enhance product performance.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a competitive environment, enjoys prospecting for new business, and is committed to building long-term customer partnerships through exceptional service and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new corrugated packaging opportunities within assigned territories and target markets.
  • Grow existing customer accounts through consultative selling and value-added packaging solutions.
  • Conduct regular customer visits to understand manufacturing processes, packaging requirements, operational challenges, and growth objectives.
  • Collaborate with structural designers, customer service representatives, and manufacturing teams to develop customized corrugated packaging solutions.
  • Present packaging concepts, cost savings opportunities, and continuous improvement initiatives to customers.
  • Prepare and deliver pricing proposals, presentations, and business reviews.
  • Manage projects from concept through implementation, ensuring customer expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Coordinate with Green Bay Packaging production facilities to ensure successful execution of customer programs.
  • Monitor market conditions, competitive activity, and industry trends to identify growth opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, account plans, and opportunity pipelines within CRM systems.
  • Meet or exceed annual sales, profit, and new business development objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of manufacturing sales experience; OR
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year university.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout assigned territory.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in corrugated packaging, paper, converting, industrial products, or manufacturing sales.
  • Degree in Packaging, Paper Science, Business, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.
  • Understanding of corrugated packaging applications, printing processes, and supply chain optimization.
  • Experience working with CRM and sales management systems.
  • Proven success in business development and territory growth.
