Position Overview
The Process Engineer intern will be directly involved in special projects designed to improve process efficiency and productivity. He or she will be working with the Production Superintendents, Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager, and Process Engineers.
Responsibilities
ยท       The types of projects the intern can expect to be involved in include: ยท       Process improvement, cost reduction, and optimization opportunities ยท       Chemical trials designed to increase quality and productivity ยท       Equipment start-up and optimization ยท       Statistical analysis of the finished product properties ยท       Involvement with customers regarding special trials or quality issues
Qualifications
ยท       Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Paper Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Science, Forestry,     Industrial Technology, and Accounting ยท       Experience in collecting and analyzing data ยท       Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills ยท       Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and statistical software ยท       Strong team player who can effectively work with others to meet objectives and timelines
