Assistant Superintendent of Schools - SAU 29 
SAU 29 invites exceptional, visionary educational leaders to apply for the position of Assistant Superintendent. SAU 29 is a dynamic and collaborative educational community serving seven distinct member school districts: Chesterfield, Harrisville, Keene, Marlborough, Marlow, Nelson, and Westmoreland. If you are looking for a challenging, high-impact leadership role with the ability to influence positive educational results and shape the future of our schools, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborative Leadership: Work closely with the Superintendent and leadership team to provide cohesive administrative oversight to all seven member districts.
  • Program Enhancement: Mobilize community, staff, and financial resources to develop, maintain, and elevate K-12 instructional and educational programs.
  • District Supervision: Assist in supervising and supporting member school districts to ensure equitable access to quality education.
  • Fiscal Responsibility: Oversee and contribute to strategic budget development and resource management across the SAU.

Education & Certification

  • Required: Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
  • Preferred: Doctorate or Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (C.A.G.S.) in Educational Leadership.
  • Licensure: Valid New Hampshire Professional Certification (or immediate eligibility to obtain certification with the appropriate endorsement).

Experience

  • Instruction & Administration: 10 or more years of successful K-12 instructional experience and/or school administration experience.
  • Financial Management: 5 or more years of demonstrated experience in budget development and management.
  • A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
