SUMMARY: Saturn Petcare, Inc. has a new state-of-the-art, pet foods manufacturing facility. Maintenance is required for both preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance. Maintenance Technicians will work both in teams and in conjunction with production to ensure machine availability is maximized.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Corrective and preventative maintenance on our highly automated production equipment.Support continuous Improvement activities and projects.Support facility maintenance tasks as necessary.Machine troubleshootingPLC knowledgeHand and power toolsPneumaticsAbility to read and interpret wiring and mechanical DiagramsAbility to use Microsoft Office applicationsUnderstanding of technical procedures and manualsGeneral understanding of intermediate mathematicsProblem solving skills using root cause analysis and reasoning abilityCan work independently or in a team environment and demonstrates pride in workmanshipSupervisory Responsibilities:NoneQualifications and Duties: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Maintenance technicians should possess knowledge, skills and abilities listed below: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education and/or Experience: HS diploma requiredAssociate degree preferred; experience in maintenance role can be used in lieu of degree.Food manufacturing experience is preferred.Experience with Safe Quality Food (SQF) practices is preferred.Computer and Technology Skills: MS-office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams). SAP & Product Data Management software experience is a plus to this position.Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. German language speaking skills is another advantage.Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and ability to apply concepts such as: fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
