Job description

Valence Surface Technologies is a full-service surface finishing company specializing in the commercial aerospace, defense, space and satellite industries. With ten strategically located sites across the United States, Valence provides a start to finish solution from NDT and chemical processing, to paint and sub-assembly.
Shift Schedule Friday - Sunday 6:00AM - 6:30PM, 36 hours, paid for 40.
Position Summary:
Responsible for preparing parts for the production process and assisting the operator as needed
Responsibilities:
  • Determine priority of jobs to begin preparing for processing
  • Select appropriate racking procedure according to size, shape and number of objects to be processed
  • Wire or clip objects to rack or hoist for processing
  • Remove parts from rack or bar after processing
  • Completes paperwork as required by company and processing guidelines
  • Ensure proper PPE is worn and safety guidelines are followed
  • Maintain a clean working area at all times by disposing of any unnecessary trash or wires
  • Ensure all hazardous waste material is disposed of correctly

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in masking or a related field, preferably in the aerospace industry.
  • Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.

This position requires access to EAR or ITAR controlled technologies. Applicants are required to be eligible for employment under U.S. export control laws and must meet the requirement of being a "U.S. Citizen".
