Job Summary:
Perform sheet metal activities such as shearing, punch press operation, rod bender and pointer. Set up and operate punch press to trim, punch, or shape. Assemble and install dies in press according to specifications. Perform other duties necessary and required by the Manager.
Essential Functions:

Follow the safety procedures and practices outlined on the Safety Placard for each piece of equipment
Ensure metal is sheared according to customer expectations
Select correct dies and set up and operate punch presses to produce high quality sheet metal parts according to customer specifications
Ensure metal has the correct holes punched for the customer
Inspect work and adjust machine as necessary, paying close attention to detail
Operate electric/manual pallet jacks, crown lift, and forklift
Locate materials necessary for the work order
Know the difference between Classic, Thor, Gibraltar, and stakes etc.
Troubleshoot and resolve problems
Work on additional equipment in other areas as needed
May perform inspections on presses
Maintain concentration over long periods of repetitive work

Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Must be comfortable driving a box truck.
Work Environment:
Cement floor with anti-fatigue mats provided
Clean working environment
Will work around moving mechanical parts
Physical Demands:
Occasional walking, sitting, reach across midline, feeling, squatting, stooping, kneeling
Occasional fine manipulation
Occasional carrying 50–80 lbs. ; pushing/pulling 20–100 lbs.
Frequent change of position, reaching, handling
Frequent arm/hand and leg/foot control; firm grasping
Constant standing
Expected Hours of Work:
Full-time; Monday–Friday. 8 hours per day. Additional hours may be required to meet customer deadlines.
