Job Summary:
Loft Orbital is a company that provides governments, companies, and research institutions with a fast and reliable way to deploy missions in orbit. As a Frontend Engineer, you will work on refining the UI of satellite operations software and collaborating with the Frontend Engineering team to enhance user experience through web applications and services.
Responsibilities:
• Building and refining tools for satellite operations and autopilot observability
• Developing and maintaining our web applications and services
• Collaborating on UI/UX design to enhance user experience (no need to be a designer, just care about good UX)
• Integrating with backend services using GraphQL APIs
• Supporting internal teams in using our ground software (Cockpit)
• Getting hands-on with satellite operations—everyone at Loft plays a role in mission success!
Qualifications:
Required:
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript / HTML / CSS
• Experience with Vue or React
• Experience working on SPAs
• Experience with GraphQL APIs
• Experience with Testing (Unit and integration testing (e.g., Vitest, Jest, Cypress)
Preferred:
• Experience with Web Components
• Experience with Mapping/Geospatial Libraries – e.g., Leaflet, Mapbox, or CesiumJS (could be useful for visualizing satellite data)
• Interest in Space or Aerospace – No prior experience is required, but enthusiasm for space technology is a bonus!
• UI/UX sensibility (no need to be a designer, just to care about that)
