Job description

Job Title: Senior Network Engineer
Location: Melbourne, FL - 32940 (Onsite / Hybrid)
Duration: 4 months Contract to hire
Summary:
The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of LAN & WAN networks, including Cisco and Palo Alto hardware and software maintenance, core services installation, and troubleshooting Satcom Direct Government and services. This role involves designing, installing, and optimizing network infrastructure across multiple locations to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. The engineer also provides support for military and company personnel as needed.

Additional notes what they need for this role: Experience (General)
o Thorough understanding of basic network concepts
o Experience designing and troubleshooting complex network topologies
o Very comfortable with the CLI
o Able to understand and review packet captures
o Self-starter and ability to reverse engineer existing designs - this is critical; they need a candidate that can hit the ground running.
o Experience with writing detailed documentation and drawings

o Hard focus on routing and switching
