$25.00 per hour, paid weekly. Medical, dental, vision, disability, and paid time off through RPC Company.


Our client is a major aerospace and defense manufacturer that builds satellite communication systems in Plano, TX.


The site also sponsors and pays for your DoD Secret clearance, which stays with you for the rest of your career.


We are hiring four Electronics Technicians to work onsite. The contract is open-ended and the client converts strong technicians to permanent staff.


Day to day

  • Assemble SATCOM terminals, antenna assemblies, RF chassis, and ruggedized enclosures.
  • Route and dress coax, wire harnesses, connectors, and power distribution.
  • Build to print from drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
  • Torque, crimp, and install hardware to the specified values.
  • Support engineering on prototype builds and engineering changes.
  • Keep the ESD and FOD controls correct and keep the traveler accurate.


Requirements

  • A high school diploma or a GED, plus shop experience. Military technical training counts.
  • You read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics without help.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and a basic knowledge of electrical systems.
  • You are comfortable with production and electronic assembly hand tools.
  • You are able to get a DoD Secret clearance. U.S. citizenship is necessary for clearance eligibility.
  • A valid driver license. You lift up to 40 pounds and stand for a full shift.
  • SATCOM, tactical communications, RF, antenna, or ruggedized military hardware experience is preferred, not required. IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, or J-STD-001 certification is preferred, not required.
