Job Summary:
Cardinal Integrated Technologies Inc is seeking an experienced SAS Specialist to join their Analytics team. The role primarily involves production support for SAS models, automation of reports, and collaboration with various teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of SAS-related tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Provide production support for SAS EM models and other SAS related production jobs. This role may requires monitoring and troubleshooting production jobs on weekends and off hours when scheduled jobs failed
• Write extensive SAS codes to automate processes, reports and model scoring
• Implement scoring codes in SAS EG and build efficient workflow to automate model scoring process in various platforms and severs
• Create workflows and schedule tasks in SAS management console and Unix using Cron
• Set up scoring process using SAS scoring accelerator for Hadoop
• Collaborate with SAS Admin to manage and optimize SAS space usage
• Partner with Insights, Modeling and reporting teams to deploy jobs in production
• Perform sanity checks post deployment to ensure smooth production
• Coordinate efforts with corporate systems admin on cross domain issues and problem
• SAS Metadata Management user management, defining libraries, setting permissions and access controls, creating metadata folder structure (SAS, Hadoop and RDBMS)
• Manage offshore resources to support various SAS related production tasks
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor degree or higher
• Minimum 5 years of experience SAS programming, including but not limited to SAS/STAT, SAS Macro and Advanced SAS programming functions
• Minimum 2 years of practical experience working with SAS Unix shell scripting to schedule job using Cron and actively managing the entire job flow
• Minimum 2 years practical experience working with Hadoop and SQL server
• Experience in extracting, loading, cleansing & manipulating data in a SAS environment
• Minimum 2 years of experience scheduling production jobs with SAS Management Console
• Strong troubleshooting techniques for basic and advanced infrastructure issues
• Strong relational database and SQL experience
• Work well within a team of analysts and collaborate with individuals with technical and non-technical backgrounds
• Strong communication skill, both verbal and written
Preferred:
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform, such as BigQuery and Datalab is preferred
• Experience with ETL tools such as Talend is a plus
• Experience with IBM Unica Campaign Management is a plus
• Experience with creating data layers and data models in Hadoop ecosystem is a plus
