Job description


DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Support end-to-end analytics across the payments lifecycle. Collaborate with business functions to identify and remediate financial, credit, fraud, and reputational risks. Interpret complex data to define problem statements and develop analytical frameworks and reporting. Maintain health check reports using existing data elements and identify gaps. Propose solutions to ensure an audit-ready function. Provide risk-based profit and loss explanations. Operate within risk appetite thresholds and regulatory guidelines to maintain a sound control environment and controlled growth. Identify business opportunities, design risk strategies, and communicate findings to senior management. Monitor discrepancies in strategy-driven decisions. Track and report key profile, profit and loss, and operational performance metrics for senior management review.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Quant Analytics, Data Scientist, IT Consultant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Quant Analytics, Data Scientist, IT Consultant, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: Extracting business insights from complex data structures by leveraging advanced SAS procedures and Snowflake SQL queries; Analyzing millions of financial and payments transaction records using data analytics tools to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities; Performing data manipulation and statistical analysis using SAS functions including Proc Means, Proc Reg, and Proc Univariate; Developing data visualizations using Proc GChart and Proc Gplot; Loading and integrating data into Snowflake from diverse sources including CSV files, Excel spreadsheets, and cloud storage platforms; Designing and executing complex SQL queries involving multi-table joins, aggregations, window functions, data partitioning, composite keys, and indexing to support robust data analysis; Developing executive dashboards and interactive visualizations in Tableau to communicate key findings and support strategic decision- making; Preparing comprehensive data analysis reports in Microsoft Excel, employing advanced features including VLOOKUP, macros, pivot tables, charts, and data manipulation techniques.
